Ulla Procopeは1921年フィンランド生まれ。1948年、Arabia社に入社。代表作にRuska、KosmosシリーズなどがありRuskaシリーズはフィンランドの短い夏から長い冬がはじまるひとときの紅葉を表現してるような日本的な色、デザイン、フォルムを持ち懐かしい感じがします。Ulla ProcopeはArabia社のデザイナーとしては1968年までの約20年間しか活動はしてませんでしたが現在でも色褪せない素朴な暖かみのある数々のヒット作を残しました。Ulla Procopeの作品はセールスにおいても成功し多くのシリーズは長い間製造されることとなります。Ulla Procopeはカイ・フランクと並びArabia社を代表するデザイナーとなる。
